Winter sun penetration and summer sun exclusion is achieved by fixed or operable external louvres overhanging the eaves or awnings. Different locations around the state (or country) require adjustments to the positioning and angles of components.

Siting and orientation of your home is critical. Generally the ideal orientation is with living areas facing north and with louvre location therefore on the north facing wall components (or within 15 degrees east or west).
